Suffering and Sacrifice

Good Friday is the most somber day of Holy Week. After a night of trials, Jesus was sentenced to death, beaten, and nailed to a cross (Luke 23:33-46). He died that afternoon, an act of ultimate love and self-giving. We will gather together with other area churches at COVENANT COMMUNITY (134 E Barney Ave) for a service with Scripture readings, music, and quiet reflection, remembering Jesus’ suffering and the depth of his love for the world.
