At the January 2026 church Administrative Council meeting, a proposal to form a Green Team was approved. We are looking for congregation and community members who may be interested in helping guide the church in integrating faith and action in the important work of creation stewardship. Team members will help design and implement activities like:
- WORSHIP & EDUCATION (Head & Heart) - How can we weave the care for God’s creation in worship activities or community education opportunities.
- HANDS-ON PROJECTS & OPERATIONS (Hands) - How can our church building operate more efficiently, care for our grounds in sustainable ways, and take steps large and small to demonstrate our love of this world.
- COMMUNITY & ADVOCACY - As a member of the North Muskegon community we can provide accurate information, partner with other groups and advocate for policy and practice that will enhance the care of ur neighborhood.
- SPIRITUAL PRACTICES - CUMC can play a unique role in fostering the love of God and love of creation by hosting the community for spiritual experiences that bring the community closer to each other and to God.
